New Jersey Student Learning Assessment
The New Jersey Student Learning Assessment (NJSLA), formerly known as the PARCC, will be administered during school year 2020-21 to all students in grades 3-11. Students will participate in both English Language Arts and Mathematics assessments, with grades 5, 8, and 11 additionally participating in the NJSLA-Science assessment. Though the name has changed, the format of the assessment has remained the same and the content being assessed will continue to be aligned with the New Jersey Student Learning Standards. Changes to the test include a reduction in the number of testing units, as well as shorter unit testing times. More information about the assessments can be found at https://www.state.nj.us/education/assessment/.
