Poetry Out Loud returned to Hasbrouck Heights High School last week, continuing a proud annual tradition that celebrates student voice, confidence, and the power of spoken word. Students delivered powerful recitations, showcasing poise, expression, and a deep appreciation for poetry. Congratulations to everyone involved and a special shoutout to this year’s winner, Mike Ducci, on an outstanding performance!
We’re excited to welcome Lincoln School’s new principal, Ms. Shane Zeigler, as she led her first school-wide assembly! 🎉 She shared a warm message about community, kindness, and pride in who we are. The year is off to a great start—Lincoln Leopards… kind and strong!! 🐆🖤🧡
HHMS ended off their cross-country season with the intense race against our own principal, Mr. Mastro! Congratulations to all the students who beat Mr. Mastro in the race! We want to thank everyone for participating in the race and for a great cross-country season!

December Eagle Award Winners!
Calling all game lovers! HHMS has had another successful, fun-filled game night! From Connect 4 to video games, there was not a dull moment! A special thanks to everyone who made this possible! It truly was a blast! 🎮 🎲
A phenomenal performance was put on during our 2025-26 SY Winter Concert! A special thanks to Mr. Ascolese, Mrs. Iannelli, Mrs. Gallina, and Mrs. Farquhar, who all worked hard in ensuring a successful night and such an enjoyable production! Our band and choir students' dedication to what they do shined through and through as the night went on, making us proud here at Hasbrouck Heights Middle/High School!
Here's a little glimpse into one of our Scholastic Book Fairs at HHMS. To our delight, students did not hesitate to buy books! It's amazing how many avid readers we have here in our middle school, and not to mention, SO refreshing to see young minds eager to pick up a book! In recognition of Kindness Week, at HHMS we strongly encouraged our students and staff to dress up each day of the week! From Team Day to School Spirit Day, students dressed to impress with every theme! It was a wonderful reminder that kindness can be spread in any way, shape, or form! 🩷 🫰
HHHS proudly hosted its Annual Senior Holiday Luncheon on Thursday, December 18, bringing together students of the senior class for a festive and memorable celebration. The luncheon provided an opportunity to recognize our seniors and celebrate the season in a warm, welcoming atmosphere filled with good food, laughter, and holiday spirit.
Our Euclid School Student Council reminded us what the season is all about—kindness, caring, and giving back. 🎁❤️ Thank you to everyone who supported our Toy Drive for the Center for Hope and Safety.

Detective Olivo from the Hasbrouck Heights Police Department joined our 1st Grade classes to celebrate cracking the case in Units of Study, Unit 2. Our young learners are now officially Reading Detectives! 🔍📚
5th Grade students are hard at work on their culminating project—designing their very own museum exhibits! As part of Unit 2 in the Units of Study, they’ve been researching the universe, exploring everything from galaxies to gravity. Love seeing their curiosity shine as they bring their learning to life! 🌌✨
The Curriculum Department hosted a Professional Development session today for Math Teachers from across the District, focused on strengthening instruction with Savvas Math — a comprehensive, research-based program that supports problem-solving, real-world application, and differentiated learning for all students.
