Hasbrouck Heights High School is proud to participate in Youth Week, an exciting opportunity for students to engage with and learn from leaders within our community. Throughout the week, students will have the chance to shadow community members, Board of Education members, the Mayor, and other local professionals to gain firsthand insight into leadership, public service, and various career pathways.

Youth Week provides students with meaningful, real-world experiences while strengthening the connection between our school and the greater Hasbrouck Heights community. We are grateful to all of the community leaders and mentors who have volunteered their time to support and inspire our students.

Hasbrouck Heights High School proudly congratulates the Top 10% of the Class of 2026 on their outstanding academic achievement, dedication, and hard work. On Wednesday evening, students and their families were honored at a celebratory dinner held at the Graycliff, where we recognized their commitment to excellence both inside and outside of the classroom.

Take Your Child to Work Day in Hasbrouck Heights was a great success! Our halls were filled with energy and excitement as students spent the day alongside our staff, participating in a variety of engaging and hands-on activities. From interactive lessons to creative projects and engaging in various sports with the PE department, it was a fun and memorable experience for everyone involved. Thank you to our staff for making the day so special and to our visiting students for bringing such enthusiasm to our school community!

Congratulations to our 2026 Staff Member of the Year for the High School, Mrs. Barbara Christianson, our Student Assistance Counselor. For over 20 years, Mrs. Christianson has been helping Aviators navigate challenges, build resilience, and find success both inside and outside of the classroom.

Her unwavering dedication, compassion, and commitment to supporting the whole child have made a lasting impact on countless students and families. Mrs. Christianson is a trusted advocate, a source of strength, and a true leader within our school community.

Hasbrouck Heights High School is proud to recognize Andersen Wynn for receiving the Unsung Hero Award through the Bergen County School Boards Association. This award honors students who consistently demonstrate dedication, character, and a positive impact on their school community, often without seeking recognition. Andersen’s hard work, quiet leadership, and commitment to supporting others make him truly deserving of this honor. We congratulate Andersen on this well-earned recognition and thank him for representing Hasbrouck Heights with pride.

Heroes & Cool Kids is more than just a program—it’s leadership in action. Our high school mentors stepped up to guide, encourage, and connect with our middle school students, showing them what positive choices, confidence, and character look like in real life. The relationships built through mentoring create a lasting impact, reminding our younger students that they have role models who care about their success. Proud of our students for leading with heart and making a difference where it matters most.

Our annual Hoops for Heart event was a huge success! Our high school students did an amazing job leading and supporting our middle schoolers through basketball, yoga, and a variety of fun fitness activities throughout the day. Their leadership, encouragement, and positivity truly made the experience special.

A huge shoutout to our Health & Physical Education Department for organizing such an incredible day and creating opportunities for our students to build community while promoting wellness. Proud of everyone involved for making lasting memories together!

Earlier this month, our students participated in the High School Art Show award ceremony, which featured artwork from 17 high schools across the area. We are incredibly proud to share that one of our own students, Andrea Estrada, earned 1st Place in the Drawing category!

Congratulations to Gina Minichiello on reaching an incredible milestone—1,000 career points—this past Friday against Secaucus High School! 🏀👏 Her hard work, dedication, and consistency on the court have truly paid off. This achievement is a testament to her talent and leadership, and a moment our HHHS community is proud to celebrate. Way to go, Gina!

Poetry Out Loud returned to Hasbrouck Heights High School last week, continuing a proud annual tradition that celebrates student voice, confidence, and the power of spoken word. Students delivered powerful recitations, showcasing poise, expression, and a deep appreciation for poetry. Congratulations to everyone involved and a special shoutout to this year’s winner, Mike Ducci, on an outstanding performance!

HHHS proudly hosted its Annual Senior Holiday Luncheon on Thursday, December 18, bringing together students of the senior class for a festive and memorable celebration. The luncheon provided an opportunity to recognize our seniors and celebrate the season in a warm, welcoming atmosphere filled with good food, laughter, and holiday spirit.

Digital photography students created trading cards for athletes, musicians and cheerleaders during our fall pep rally.
