As the Hasbrouck Heights School District Student Assistance Counselor or SAC,  I am located in the high school. I have many functions but my primary goal is to work with students and families to address social-emotional issues that may hinder academic and social success.

On this website, I will list links and fliers of resources and programs available for residence in Bergen County.

Social media has grown faster than any other form of communication, and both children and adults are more susceptible than ever to falling victim to misinformation and trolling practices.

Friends of West Bergen and Eduscape will be presenting “Understanding Digital Citizenship: A Guide to Social Media and Online Safety” at the Ridgewood Library Auditorium this Tuesday, February 26th at 7:00 PM.

Please join us for a presentation and discussion on the following topics:

Five best ways to spot Fake News

Strategies to safeguard Online Privacy of yourself and others

Five basic principles for protecting your digital footprint

Impact of media on wellbeing - When there’s cause for concern.

Come learn the best practices for protecting your digital footprint and maintaining online privacy, while acquiring the insight to encourage these practices for the children, teens, and seniors in your life.

Where: Ridgewood Library Auditorium, 125 North Maple Avenue, Ridgewood NJ 07450

    When: Tuesday, February 26th 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
